Mike is Co-founder, Chairman and a Principal of the MLG family of companies. WCAN is focused on addressing unique issues of broad public interest, including public safety, infrastructure and education in Waukesha County. His activity with the Friends of Beaver Lake (5 years) is focused on preserving the lake's pristine aquatic environment.
Significant Transactions
In 2010, Mike was honored at the Annual meeting of the Wisconsin Chapter of NAIOP by being presented it’s first ever ‘J. Michael Mooney Award’ ‘For extraordinary leadership in advancing economic development in Wisconsin’. The Board honored Mike because he is known for testifying before State and local panels on topics of importance to the real estate industry or the economy as a whole. Mooney was described as ‘a champion for growth in Wisconsin and one of the industry’s leading and most persuasive advocates’. The ‘J. Michael Mooney Award’ will be handed out intermittently to those deemed worthy by the NAIOP Executive Committee and Board.

Mike is also a Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Dozer Day, a quarrying, construction and military theme park since 1997. Dozer Day has raised nearly $1,000,000 for the Hamilton Education Foundation. The unique event attracts 15,000 to 20,000 visitors to the Halquist Quarry in Sussex, WI for one day bi-annually.

A lifelong resident of Southeastern Wisconsin, Mike has been married to his wife Marilyn for 28 years and has two children and four grandchildren.
