Scope of Service Experience

Stephen joined NAI MLG Commercial as a sales associate for the industrial group in 2000. In 2004 he became a principal of the firm. Stephen plays an active role as a segment leader in the industrial group while working and advising diligently with his clients regarding space acquisitions and dispositions, site selections, lease negotiations, real estate strategies and financial analysis. He has expanded his expertise in commercial real estate to include selling investment real estate as well as successfully working on other projects within all segments of the brokerage company including office, retail and property management.

Education

In 1990, Stephen received a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is licensed to practice real estate in Wisconsin, a member of the Wisconsin Realtors Association and the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW).

Background & Experience

Prior to joining NAI MLG Commercial, Stephen worked for over 10 years as a commercial lender with US Bank and JP Morgan/Chase Bank. His banking background gave him valuable experience working with various types and sizes of companies ranging from new, start-up companies to large Fortune 500 companies. His prior banking experience along with his finance degree has given Stephen the advantage over other commercial brokers as he assists his clients in structuring appropriate financing to support their growth. Stephen attributes his success in commercial real estate to his dedication to the industry, hard work ethic and the relationships he developed throughout his banking and real estate careers. This along with his continued networking has enabled Stephen to strengthen his existing relationships while establishing new relationships throughout the real estate industry.

Professional Affiliations & Designations

Stephen is active in various commercial real estate boards as he is a past Chairman of the board of directors for the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW) along with current positions on the Ethics and Standards Committee and the Social Events Committee and also active in the New Member Committee. Stephen had recently been on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) for three years and recently been a member of the Commercial Committee for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Stephen has been involved with coaching his two sons in various sports and was recently on the Board of Directors of Tripoli Country Club where he was the Chair of the Golf Committee. Stephen recently was awarded the Realtor of the Year from CARW.

Transaction History

Stephen has sold or leased well over 5,000,000 square feet of space. He has worked with clients such as Regal-Beloit where he sold a 250,000 square foot industrial facility that earned him the CARW Deal of the Year Award and recently sold a 300,000 square foot building to Kohl’s Corp. Other clients include CenterPoint Properties, Chicago Tube & Iron, Midas, US Fire Protection, the Village of Germantown, Solaris and Embedtek.
